耶鲁大学（Yale University），简称“耶鲁”“Yale”，坐落于美国康涅狄格州纽黑文，是世界著名的私立研究型大学、耶鲁大学最初由康涅狄格州公理会教友于1701年创立，1716年迁至康涅狄格州的纽黑文（New Haven）。

耶鲁大是全美第三古老的高等学府（是美国历史上建立的第三所大学）、 美国大学协会的14所创始院校之一，也是著名的常春藤联盟成员，全球大学校长论坛成员。

耶鲁大学图书馆拥有1500万册藏书，在美国大学图书馆系统中排名第二。 耶鲁校园的260座建筑物涵盖各个历史时期的设计风格，被誉为“美国最美丽的城市校园”。

耶鲁最重要的管理特色是“教授治校”，这一特色对美国高等教育界产生了巨大影响。建校初期，经过3代校长的努力，耶鲁逐渐形成了董事会不具体参与校务管理、而由教授会治校的法规。在当时的美国流传着这样一句话：“普林斯顿董事掌权、哈佛校长当家、耶鲁教授做主”。
